She has published in several journals, including Journal of Social Distress and the Homeless, Journal of Applied Social Sciences, and J ournal of Forensic Psychology Practice. Donley is very involved with the Southern Sociological Society and annually organizes an initiative that enables undergraduate sociology majors from UCF to attend the meeting and present their original research. She is very active in the community and currently serves as the Chair for Table Sixty, an organization working to end senior hunger in Orange County, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Homeless Services Network. Her research interests include social inequalities, specifically poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness, the intersection of homelessness and crime, and media presentation of social problems. Amy Donley is an Assistant Professor in the Sociology department, the Director of the Institute for Social and Behavioral Sciences (ISBS), and the Undergraduate Program Director for the Sociology department. She currently teaches research methods and data analysis at the undergraduate level and Program Design and Evaluation at the graduate level.
